A man was allegedly killed in his own house in Kajaani, a municipality under Kainuu region on Tuesday, police said in a press release on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the apartment building of the deceased at Huuhkajanvaara area at the locality.
The dead was 31 years old.
Responding to an alarm police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
After the preliminary investigation police suspected that the man died as a result of violence.
Police, however, did not disclose detail about the incident and the identity of the victim.
Oulu police are investigating into the case as murder.
