Fewer domestic, more Int´l passengers travel through Finnish airports in July

A total of 1.8 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in July 2025, which is one percent higher compared to July 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers on domestic flights decreased by two per cent, while the number of passengers on international flights increased by one per cent from the previous year.

In July 2025, a total of 1.6 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 150,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports.

Compared to July 2024, the total number of passengers was one per cent higher at Helsinki Airport and four per cent lower at other domestic airports.

Ninety per cent of the air traffic passengers travelled on international flights and ten per cent on domestic flights in July 2025.

The share of passengers on international flights was 94 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 39 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 98 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.

In January to July 2025, a total of 11.7 million passengers flew through Finnish airports, which was five per cent more than in 2024 during the same period.
