The death toll from Thursday's Russian missile and drone strikes on Kyiv has risen to 28, including three children, authorities said on Friday, reported Xinhua.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that 159 people were injured in the attack.
The heaviest casualties occurred in the Sviatoshinskyi district, where part of a nine-story apartment building was destroyed.
The attack hit 27 locations in the city.
Search and rescue efforts are ongoing at the scene.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that another apartment building was severely damaged in the western Solomianskyi district.
