The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 1.5 per cent higher in June 2025 than in June 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
The seasonally adjusted wages and salaries sum of the whole economy increased by 0.3 per cent in June from the previous month.
The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum increased in the private sector by 0.8 per cent from the previous year, which increased by 1.6 per cent in the public sector.
The wages and salaries sum decreased in the industry of construction by 2.0 per cent in June 2025 year-on-year.
The working day adjusted wages and salaries sum increased in the industry of finance and insurance by 7.1 per cent in June 2025 year-on-year.
The wages and salaries sum grew in June 2025 in majority of main industries but decreased in the industries of construction, private health and social work and private education compared to June 2024.
The wages and salaries sum increased significantly in the industry of finance and insurance (7.1%). The growth was moderate in the industries of manufacturing (2.1%), trade (1.2%) and other services (1.2%).
At the same period the working day adjusted wages and salaries sum decreased in the industries of construction (2.0%), private health and social work (1.9%) and private education (1.8%).
