A total of 5,425 new passenger cars were registered in July 2025, which was four per cent more than one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.
In all, 9,648 new vehicles were registered in July. First registrations increased by one per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.
In January to July period of 2025, a total of 42,686 new passenger cars were registered, which was four per cent fewer than one year earlier.
Of first-time registered passenger cars in July 2025, altogether 36 per cent were fully electric.
The number of their registrations was 1,971, or 47 per cent higher than one year earlier.
A total of 2,039 new petrol-fuelled passenger cars were registered in July, which was 21 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
